biography
Amanda Steinam, née Hamburger was born in Bad Kissingen on December 8, 1881 as the oldest daughter of the master butcher Wolf Hamburger and his wife Jette, née Lustig.
In 1905, she married the merchant Moritz Steinam in Würzburg. Then the couple moved to Nuremberg where their daughter Martha was born in April 1913. Amanda’s husband already died there in 1929. Amanda and her daughter Martha were deported from Nuremberg to Riga in November 1941. They became victims of the Shoa; details of their deaths are not known.
