He was also a doctor and practiced as a physician and specialist in internal and X-ray medicine. The couple had two sons: Norbert who was born in Berlin in 1920 and Arthur Ralf Jon, who was born in Bad Kissingen in 1922.
In the winter months, the couple practiced in Berlin, in the summer months of the years 1926 – 1937, both lived and practiced in Bad Kissingen, first in Ludwigstrasse, then in Kurhausstrasse. At the end of September 1937, the Ehrenreichs moved to Berlin for good. From there, they and their children emigrated to the United States in 1939. In the same year, Elfriede Ehrenreich was granted American citizenship. In the USA, the family adopted the surname “Enrick”. In 1940, the Ehrenreichs lived in a shared apartment in New York, Elfriede’s brother Manfred lived with them, too. Elfriede Enrick practiced as a dermatologist in New York.
