Aron Wittekind and Sabine Wittekind (cousin and cousin) were both born in Bad Kissingen in the 1850s, spent their childhood and youth here and left their hometown after their marriage. Aron moved to Königsberg/East Prussia, Sabine lived in Kyritz/Brandenburg and later in Berlin. Both experienced marginalisation and discrimination at the beginning of the Nazi era, but died before the National Socialists began their policy of extermination.
