biography
Rosa Eisenburg, née Kissinger came from a long-established Jewish family of the spa town and was born on August 26, 1875 as the first child of Max Kissinger and his first wife Ernestine, née Frank. Her father was the owner of the reputable clothing cum tailoring business on Marktplatz. In May 1898, Rosa Kissinger (in some sources also called Selina) married the Kissingen cattle dealer Oscar Eisenburg. The couple hat four children: Carl (1899-1979), Erna (1900-1968), Betty (1901-1984), and Max (1906-1976).
In August 1939, Rosa and her husband emigrated to London and then to Argentina together with their son Carl. There Oscar Eisenburg died in Buenos Aires on October 20, 1940 at the age of 66. His wife Rosa Eisenburg obviously moved to her daughter Betty in Montevideo, where she died on September 8, 1949.
