biography
Betty Hahn, née Eisenburg was born in Bad Kissingen on September 24, 1901. She was the daughter of the Kissingen livestock dealer Oscar Eisenburg and his wife Rosa Eisenburg, née Kissinger.
In February 1930, Betty Eisenburg married the shoe retailer Alfred Hahn (1887-1952) from Mannheim. Shortly after the beginning of World War II, Betty, her husband and her son Paul (*1930) managed to emigrate to Montevideo in Uruguay at the last minute. Her son Paul Josef Hahn later left Uruguay and went to Argentina on his own. His mother followed him on December 15, 1952, after his father’s death. For 40 years, he worked as a manager in an export firm before he bought a farm together with his wife Ruth Sachs (born in Rio Negro/ Argentina in 1940). On this farm he raised cattle in the footsteps of his uncle Carl.
On December 12, 1984, Betty Hahn died in Buenos Aires at the age of 83.
